Create & Manage Categories

Procedure:

  1. Click on the settings icon at the top right.
  2. Select the "Supplier Management" tab and click on the "Category Management" tab.
  3. Here you will see all currently created product categories. Product categories are structured hierarchically, so a top-level category can contain sub-categories, and these in turn can contain subordinate groups.
  4. To create a new top-level category, click the blue "New Top-Level Category" button and assign a name for the group.
  5. If you want to create a sub-category within a category, click on the corresponding category and then on the green plus icon.
  6. This also applies if you want to create a category under the "Infrastructure" category. Select "Infrastructure" and click on the green plus icon.
  7. You also have the option to edit categories. To do this, click on the "Edit" button.
  8. If you want to delete a category, you will be prompted to choose how you want to delete the category.
  9. Select "Delete including Subcategories" to delete all parts within both the top-level and sub-categories.
  10. Select "Safe Delete" to only delete the top-level category while keeping the underlying sub-categories intact.

7. You also have the option to edit categories. To do this, click on the "Edit" button.

8. If you want to delete a category, you will be prompted to choose how you want to delete the category.

9. Select "Delete incl. sub-categories" to delete all parts within both the top-level and sub-categories.

10. Select "Safe Delete" to only delete the top-level category while keeping the underlying sub-categories intact.
