Prospeum nutzt für die abstrakte Risikobewertung ausschließlich öffentlich zugängliche Quellen mit entsprechender Lizenz. Die Liste dieser Quellen wird kontinuierlich erweitert. Im Rahmen des LksG Moduls wurden die in Anhang II des BAFA Berichts "Risiken ermitteln, gewichten und priorisieren" genannten Quellen verarbeitet.
Besonders hervorzuheben ist, dass Prospeum vorrangig auf Originärquellen zurückgreift. Das bedeutet, dass wir die gleichen Quellen nutzen, auf die beispielsweise der "Human Rights and Business Country Guide", das "Business and Human Rights Resource Centre" oder das "US State Department" verweisen.
Für die Erarbeitung von Sektorrisiken geht Prospeum einen individuellen Weg und ergänzt diese kontinuierlich. Derzeit bilden die im CSR-Risiko-Check erfassten branchen-, produkt- und länderspezifischen Risiken die Grundlage für unsere Arbeit. Diese Risiken werden vom MVO Nederland und dem Helpdesk Wirtschaft und Menschenrechte (Agentur für Wirtschaft und Entwicklung) herausgegeben. Mit diesem umfassenden Ansatz bietet Prospeum eine fundierte Grundlage für eine verlässliche Risikobewertung.
