After reviewing the bidding results, you can now decide whether you want to directly nominate one of the suppliers or if you want to conduct a beauty contest or negotiation rounds before making the nomination.
Nominating a Supplier
To nominate a supplier, go to the Supplier tab and select "Supplier Overview" from the left navigation bar.
In the "Action" tab, select "Nominate Supplier." Then, click the green "Nominate Supplier" button. A pop-up will appear, and you'll need to confirm the award again.
Conducting a Beauty Contest
If you wish to invite the top suppliers for a personal supplier presentation (Beauty Contest) or negotiation rounds, follow these steps.
Setting Up a Beauty Contest
In the Supplier tab's navigation bar, select "Beauty Contest." You will enter the following view:
Here, you can view all the Beauty Contest rounds. The first one is already set up by default. These rounds are designed to conduct multiple negotiation rounds with additional criteria and a decreasing number of suppliers. If desired, you can create additional rounds by selecting "Create New" in the Action Bar. The process for setting up additional rounds follows the same steps as shown now.
To set up the Beauty Contest, click on the edit icon on the right.
First, let's add the suppliers. To do this, simply select the suppliers you want to include on the left.
In the next step, determine which colleagues from your company will participate in the evaluation. Select "Add Reviewer" and then choose the appropriate colleagues. Note: You can only select colleagues who are already part of your project team. If you want to involve additional colleagues, you'll need to add them to your team first.
Now, you need to define the evaluation criteria. To do this, select "Evaluation Criteria" from the top tab.
You can now determine as many evaluation criteria as you like. To do this, click on "Add Criterion" in the Action Bar and assign a name. For better clarity, you can provide a more detailed description of the evaluation criterion. Once you have defined all the criteria, you need to set the weighting. Overall, you should assign a total of 100 points to all criteria. Enter the respective weighting in the designated input field on the right.
After completing this, you can then return to the virtual project space by clicking the Back button in the upper left corner. All entries will be automatically saved.
Conducting a Beauty Contest
To conduct a Beauty Contest, go to the Supplier tab's navigation and select "Beauty Contest." Each participating colleague does this individually. Next, click "Enter Beauty Contest" for the current round. You will enter the following view:
Now, first select the supplier you want to evaluate from the dropdown list in the upper left corner. You can now begin the evaluation. You can leave notes for each criterion and then provide a rating on the scale from 1 (poor) to 5 (excellent). The entries will be automatically saved. Evaluate all relevant criteria in this manner. If you need to evaluate another supplier right after, simply switch to the next supplier from the dropdown list in the upper left corner. After conducting the Beauty Contest, you can return to the virtual project space by clicking "Back to Project" in the Action Bar.
Evaluating Beauty Contest Results
To evaluate the Beauty Contest results, start by navigating to the Supplier tab and selecting "Beauty Contest." Next, click "Enter Beauty Contest" for the current round. In the following view, click on "Rating Results" in the upper right corner.
You can now see the results of the overall evaluation. Here, you can view the overall results for each evaluator, the average of all evaluators, and the sum of all evaluator results.
The supplier with the highest total score performed the best. You can also analyze the evaluation based on individual criteria. To do this, select the corresponding criterion from the dropdown list in the upper left corner.
Once you've finished the evaluation, you can decide whether you want to create another round of the Beauty Contest or nominate a supplier, as shown above.
Clicking "Back to Project" in the Action Bar will take you back to the virtual project space.
